A late night…

Ok now I’m just going to let it all get out.  First of all we DID NOT make it to New Moon Rising over Arizona.  Yes very disappointing.  I took my sister to work and was strolling around the San Tan Village Mall and just happened to walk by the theatre.  There were people lined up with canopies!  I am totally serious.  Canopies, can you imagine it.  Well I was in shock and it was only 2:30 pm.  So, I went back to the house and called my other sister and she was like Yikes.  Well not those exact words, but I’ll refrain from the profanity. 

So we went down there around 6pm and the line was amazing.  I couldn’t believe it.  I mean it was like wrapping around.  Everyone already had their tickets but they still were lined up for the best seats.  It was only playing on every screen.  Just look at the pictures of our faces.  Ha ha ha ha ha!  We then decided it would be best if we just went to eat first.  So after some yummy Mexican food we went to find a parking place.  This is so funny in its self because there were so many empty spaces…  Then I had to remember that a lot of the people in line do not have licenses let alone cars.  This cracked me up.  So we walked to the theatre, got our tickets.  We then decided to buy tickets to another movie showing “The fourth kind”; pretty creepy.  There was so much time left in between and they wouldn’t let you wait inside.  So after trying to cheat we took a long trek around the building we got to the end of the line (thinking that was the end).  Lo and behold the theatre personnel said “this is the end of this line.  You have to walk around to the new line started on the other side.”  After another trek around the building we ended up not 100’ from the end of the other line in the second line.  Well maybe more than 100 foot, but we could have saved a long walk by just going behind the building………..   We sat around for about 2 hours when a lovely Twilight Saga Mama was kind enough to go buy us some Hot Chocolate because it was cold.  You know COLD in the desert.  We sat around laughing about the line and how stupid we were.  All the sudden at around 11:00 the line started moving RAPIDLY. 

After waiting in the theatre in our seats for an hour or so the lights dimmed and the show began.  We got to see the preview for Remember Me.  I am so glad to finally have a clue as to what it is about.  Rob looks fierce in it, a little emotional and angry.  I am excited to see it too.  It has possibilities.  Then the movie opened up very cleverly with a moon fading away; hence the title “New Moon”.  There were lots of screams.  All and all the crowd was cool.  Not too loud and obnoxious besides when Edward first appeared and they saw Jacob ½ naked. 

I have are a few key points that turned me off the movie.  The music didn’t seem to go with the scenes.  It just didn’t feel right.  Catherine did an exceptional job in Twilight.  Also the score was off.  They should have stuck with Carter Burwell.  I feel you shouldn’t change the composer ever.  He had the feel for the movie.  The score is essentially the essence of the movie in my ears…..  The second is they tried to fit too much into 2 hours.  The scenes didn’t flow into each other, you kind of got slammed one into another.  I know that Chris Weitz was trying to stay true to the book, but you can’t include everything.  Lastly there was something weird about the emotions Kristen portrayed with Jacob compared to Edward.  The tender moments with Taylor felt real and natural, but the tender moments or lack there of with Edward felt forced.  These two are supposed to be in love.  Edward is the center of Bella’s world and her his, but there seemed to always be pain not adoration. Robert is very good at pain, angst and indifference when it comes to this part, but where is the love?  I ask this because when I read the book I could feel all of the love and passion.  I just didn’t get this, even when they were kissing.  It felt forced and weird.  Now when it came to Taylor and Kristen you get drawn in, your anticipating it all. This all being said I did absolutely love this movie.  I am going to watch it again in a few days and then I will be impatiently waiting for it to come out on DVD.  This was a total must see!  I am so happy that I was able to be part of this experience.  What did you think about the movie?  I love all the candor and funny comments. Mike was exceptionally portrayed, especially when he was sick.  Embry was very funny and I was too happy that Jasper actually talked (2 whole sentences).  What did you like? Dislike?  Now I’m off to sleep.  Didn’t get in till 3 a.m.

I’ll be giving blood and having fun until about 8/9pm (it starts at 5 and you can watch the movie there, but we already have our tickets from the theatre by her house).  Then we are headed in to watch Twilight.  I know we have to be at the movie theatre early!  Bout 11pm I’m told so that we are in the right line and get in on time.  My sister and I will definitely be filming and taking pictures of the mass hysteria..  It is going to be so much fun.  I am going to document the whole entire day.  I will give you all the scoop tomorrow after the appropriate amount of sleep and my second viewing of “New Moon”.   What are all of your plans?  Do tell.. Keep it interesting.

I am not blogging on the last 2 chapters or Epilogue because I ran out of time.  First off my Internet would not work at home and then I was travelling.  You all know how it goes and furthermore I am too excited to watch the movie right now.  I hope we all get what we deserve.  And that is an amazing movie…..

New Moon Chapters 19, 20, 21, and 22

Hi and Welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack!

Yikes I am really trying to catch up so there will be multiple chapter posts today.  I read the chapters but just didn’t have time to get to my blog.  I did however catch the movie promo on TV last night.  Wow is all I can say.  I am so excited.  I hope you are too!

I wanted to watch the red carpet live and hooked up to Ustream but it wasn’t working.  Too many people streaming it at the same time.  So, I fished around and found some interesting things.

1.  If you have Direct TV tune in to channel 116, it is a special New Moon channel sponsored by Burger King

2.  Tomorrow night check out the red carpet on E! 6:30 Central Standard time.

3.  Reels Channel has lots of different things going on each evening up to the movie.  Check them out.  I even watched the Twilight Maultin Minuit.

Chapters 19, 20, 21, and 22

These four chapters are all about the race to save Edward.  Alice and Bella jump on a plane and head to Italy.  They talk alot on the flight because they have so much time.  Bella is the only one who can save Edward.  Alice tells her he is going to reveal himself in Volterra at Noon under the clock tower.  Then the Volturi will kill him. 

They race the clock, literally.  Bella gets there in the nick of time, but the Volturi guard shows up.  Then Jane appears and says they have all been summoned.  They make a long trip to the inner Volturi chambers.  Bella can’t believe it, though she is with Edward and if they die, she is happy. 

They all meet.  It doesn’t go so well, but Aro gives them leave to go on the promise that Bella will be a vampire soon.  Edward, Alice and Bella waste no time getting out of there and on the flight home Bella does not want to sleep.  She doesn’t want Edward to go away again.  When they arrive at the airport the entire Cullen family is present. 

Ok, yes!  I am rushing it.  I am in so much of a hurry now.  I feel like we have been waiting forever.  This is like the weekend before I was going to be induced with my daughter.  I could not focus on a thing.  I hope all of you are well.  Here are some pictures from the Red Carpet.  (thanks to twilightguide.com)  Tomorrow I will blog on the last 2 chapters and then the Epilogue for Wed.  Tah Tah for now!

New Moon Chapter 17 and 18

Hi and Welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack!  I hope you are having as good a day as I am.  Just getting everyone packed up so that I can go on my trip to watch the best movie ever!!!!   Tonight is the night!  The big premiere too!  I am going to try and catch the red carpet online and at Ustream.com…..  Anyway here is this.  If this doesn’t get you excited I don’t know what will..

New Moon Chapter 17 and 18 Visitor and The Funeral

Bella turns on the light and there she is “Alice”.  She can’t believe it.  She reacts a way that even surprises Alice.  She runs to her, hugging her and starts crying.  Alice needs to hunt though.  She has raced to Forks because she saw a vision of Bella jumping off the cliff.  Alice gives her the what for about it and rants on about how Edward was wrong.  Alice thinks Bella was trying to kill herself, but Bella explains she was just cliff diving and Jacob saved her.  Then Alice realizes she can’t see Jacob. 

Alice and Bella have a conversation about Jacob and him being a werewolf.   I love when Alice chastises her about finding the next monsters in town when the vampires leave.  Alice wants to know everything, so Bella tells her everything but the beginning.  Alice tells her she looks bad and Bella tries to shrug it off. 

Jacob calls and is abrupt just checking she was alive.  Alice decides to stay, but has to hunt and get some clothes.  Bella showers and gets everything ready for a sleep over.  She had to tell Charlie something !  Alice can see that Bella is not and has not been Ok.  Bella wants to stay up all night with Alice but can’t.  When she wakes in the morning she overhears a conversation about herself between Charlie and Alice.  This is when we get a glimpse of what Bella was like after Edward left.  It is hard to read.  She was alive but dead……. 

They spend time together and Bella is so happy.  Charlie heads off to the funeral and Bella shows up.  Alice doesn’t want to be there when Bella lets him in so she’s off.  He was not very happy.  They have lots of words and Jacob is just there to get info.    The phone rings and Jacob answers it.  The caller announced himself as Carlisle and asked for Charlie.  Jake says he’s at the funeral and well, we know what happens from there. 

Alice shows up immediately.  Edward was the caller and now he is going to the Volturi.  He wants to die because he thinks Bella is dead.  Rosalie has called him and told him about the cliff.

Well we are so close I can’t stand it…..

New Moon Chapters 15 and 16

Hi and Welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack!

Time is getting short roughly 7 days!  Hmmmmm  I am anticipating Thursday the 19th will be a long day for me.  How about you?  I bet your wondering if I’ll get all of this done before the movie comes out.  I tend to bite off more than I can chew in all aspects of my life.  I have to stay busy.  Did anyone catch Vampire Diaries last night?  I was so sad at the end.  Why do men always think that by leaving you you’ll be better off.  It is such a conundrum.  I mean you won’t be better off!  Not in the least.  Especially when he is a Vampire and has introduced you to his world. 

New Moon Chapter 15 and 16 Pressure and Paris:

It’s Spring break again!  Bella is having dejavu because last spring break she was also being hunted by a Vampire.  The pack has decided it would be safer for her to spend her free time in La Push.  This is hard for her because Jacob is either running patrols or sleeping because he was up all night.  She tried hanging out with Billy but he wasnt’ much for conversation.  Bella enjoyed Emily but when Sam came by she could see the love oozing out and this hurt her.  She decides to walk on the beach.  Jacob finds her and tells her that he is sorry and will make time for her tomorrow and they will cliff dive…

Bella can’t even ride a bike, I’m wondering if she can swim.  Jacob is not awake when she comes over the next day so she goes to the beach.  She is feeling bored and sorry for herself.  The hole in her chest is aching from thinking and talking about the Cullens so much, and she hasn’t heard her delusional voice of Edward.  She decided to go cliff diving by herself.  Bella feels she will hear Edward for sure and this will make her feel better. 

The voice of Edward is begging her not to jump, but she does it anyway.  She loved it, until the current caught her and she couldn’t come up.  Edwards voice is not telling her to keep swimming, but she can’t she’s so tired and it’s so hard, and she thought she was dying, but she was happy because she could die hearing him.  The she hits something. 

Jacob jumped into the water to save her.  Bella doesn’t realize this tell he yells at her to breathe.  Jacob takes Bella to his house.  They fall asleep.  When Bella awakens Jake is still out.  She has this inner battle with herself on whether she should give herself to Jacob.  She loved him, but not like she loved Edward.  And didn’t she deserve happiness.  She compares her life and this tragedy to Romeo and Juliet.  She wasn’t ready to make a decision just yet.  Then Billy shows up and tells them that Harry is dead.  Bella knows she has to get home because Harry was Charlie’s best friend. 

Jacob retrieves her truck and takes her home.  But when they get close to her house he gets a wiff of a Vampire.  He immediately turns around and that’s when Bella sees Carlisle’s car.  She orders Jacob to stop and go back.  Jacob gets mad because Bella wants to see the Unknown Vampire.  He leaves, and tells her that the Vampires are his enemy and that he has to report to Sam.  Bella goes home and then she realizes that she saw a flash of red in the water.  It was Victoria.  She turns on the light and  sees who is waiting for her.

I really don’t like the whole comparison to Romeo and Juliet.  I mean, Paris was a pushy nobody.  He was practically making her get married to him, her father too!  Jacob deserves to be compared to someone else.  For being so young, he was so good and so much more.  Also, I do not believe Edward would want her to be happy with someone else.  They were meant to be together.  I really do feel sorry for Jacob though because he is so young and he does love her.  You can tell by how he reacts.

New Moon Chapters 13 and 14

Hi and Welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack.  It’s Wednesday, which is one of my favorite days.  I get to go to the coffee shop, play on the computer (and work).  Some of the ladies that work there are Twilight Saga fans so we talk shop so to speak.  It is a glorious freedom for me.  5 whole hours of solitude (sans the kiddos).  I love them, but it’s nice to be creative away from the house, with a yummy cup of mocha.  What do any of you do to get away?  What kind of me time do you spend? By the way this won’t publish until Thursday but I thought I’d share where I was at the time.

New Moon:  Chapter 13 and 14 Killer and Family

In Chapter 13 Bella has figured out what Jacob is and is so disturbed.  Charlie and a bunch of hunters are heading out to find the giant wolves.  Bella does not know what to do.  She is torn between her love for Jacob and the thoughts that he is a killer.  She decides to go talk to him/warn him.  When she gets to La Push he is still asleep so she decides to take a walk on the beach. 

Jacob arrives at the beach and they have a battle of wills.  Bella is confused about Jacob and the missing hikers.  Jacob thinks that Bella can’t stand what he is, but can stand the Vampires.  They talk about Edward and the Cullens a little.  This is monumental moment because it’s the first Time she has said his name out loud.  They get it figured out though, Jacob and his pack is not hunting humans but a Vampire.  Then Bella reveals that Victoria is after her.  Jacob disappears to call a meeting.

They meet the wolf pack where they ride dirt bikes, and no one is happy that Bella now knows their secret.  Paul explodes (literally) and Jacob does too.  Sam has to rein them in and tells Embry and Jared to take Bella to Emily’s house.  Embry tells Bella not to stare at Emily.  When they get to the house Emily is making breakfast for the pack.  Bella sees why she is not to stare.  Being around the wolves is dangerous.  When the rest of the pack arrives and sits down to eat breakfast Bella realizes this is much more than a tribe or pack, it is a family.

I love when the wolves start to be a central focus in this story.  All the different attitudes really add to the drama in New Moon.  I am anticipating that they will be awesome on the big screen next week.  Hope you are enjoying this.

New Moon Chapters 11 and 12 (9 more days!)

Hi and Welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack.  Only 9 days left.  Time is ticking by faster and faster now.  I can’t seem to keep up.  Sometimes I tend to bite off more than I can chew.  Do you ever do this?  Well in reality my husband truly did this Saturday night.  He had a 2″ x 2″ hunk of steak stuck in his esophagus.  It drove us all crazy but luckily enough we didn’t have to go to the hospital.  So a reminder to all of you, take appropriate sized bites (even all you vampires out there).   Enjoy your food.

New Moon:  Chapter 11 and 12 Cult and Intruder

Bella is so terrified about Victoria she doesn’t realize another week has gone by and no word from Jacob. When she finally snaps out if it, she realizes what is going on with him.  He is now part of Sam’s gang.  She calls and gets Billy again.  Of coarse he isn’t around.  She decides to take a trip out to La Push and just wait it out.  A rescue mission.  She runs into Quil and give him a ride.  Quil was really scared and “doesn’t want to be next”. 

She decides to park outside the Black’s house and wait.  It’s not long that Jacob is there asking her what she is doing.  She can’t help but notice the physical changes in Jacob, but the most astonishing was the how his expression had changed.  Gone was the easy going boy and here was a hard young man.  Then she notices the rest of the boys behind him. 

They go for a walk “alone” as she puts it to talk.  Jacob tells her not so nicely that it’s over and they can’t be friends anymore.  You can feel the pain and anger reading this conversation.   Bella can’t believe it.  Jacob was healing her and now he was gone too.  Not as bad she repeats to herself but bad enough.  Charlie sees the ghost like look on her face again and Bella tells him about the situation.  Charlie calls Billy and they have words.  Bella goes to bed and a different dream emerges.

She awakens startled and scared and goes to her window to look out.  Oh no!, she thinks Victoria is finally here for her.   But no, it’s Jacob.  He is there to apologize but she doesn’t want to hear it.  Then they talk,  he can’t tell her what’s going on but he gives her a clue and tells her if she guesses correctly to come see him, or let her know one way or the other.  She goes to sleep and has a dream she’s had before, but all the sudden Jacob turns into a wolf.  Then she remembers the stories he told her and she wakes up.  Werewolf.  What kind of a place is forks that mythical creatures walk the earth there.  She just can’t believe it.

Not a cult after all, a pack.  In her haste to go see Jacob, Charlie stops her and tells her not to go anywhere but strait to La Push.  Another attack has happened and there are rangers and hunters out armed to find the wolves.  She is sick, because she now knows who the wolves are.  She can’t understand that the wolves are killing people.  They have chosen a different path than her Vampires.  She is so confused.

Well the plot is really thickening and getting juicy.  I really like when we get to chapter 11 because the story is so much better.  Up til then I had a hard time reading.  I need a little action with my romance.  I have always been that way.  How about you?

New Moon Chapters 9 and 10

Hi and Welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack.  It’s chapter recap again, but doubling up now until I am caught up.  I sure wish I was going to be somewhere close to the cast hot spots this week.  I am uber jeaous.  It would be awesome to be in let’s say Scottsdale like my sisters on Friday.  NOT FAIR!  I know they will go and enjoy.  I am sorry I am behind but I have this great book I am reading called Echo in the Bone.  It is part of a long series and I wasn’t really into it until I got about 3/4 the way in.  Now I am trying to read it each night and it’s taking up my free time.  I am excited though because now I know it’s not the final book in the series.  There will be more.  Don’t you love a good series that goes on and on….  I sure do.

Sorry I haven’t been posting about all the miscellaneous interviews.  They are quite repetitive and you can click the links on all your other fav Twilight Saga sites or just go to You Tube.  I really am trying to save myself for the movie. 

Chapters 9 and 10:  Third Wheel and The Meadow

Time is passing now for Bella.  She has something else to focus on; Jacob, her bike, and their hikes to find Edwards Meadow.  She is so oblivious to the data that she is startled when Jacob shows up with abox of conversation hearts and asks her to be his Valentine.  This is a little uncomfortable for her.  They then make plans to go see a movie on Friday. Not as a date though, his friend Quil and her lunch group from school.   She tells Mike about this at school and tells him to get a group together and bring his suburban.  Mike too is not happy about the extra people coming.  He wants a date with Bella. 

When Bella pulls into her drive on Friday she sees Jacob standing against his car.  He has finished it.  The banter is funny because Jacob is jealous of Mike and Mike is jealous of Jake.  Bella doesn’t want to be more than friends with either.  No one else could show because they all had plans or the flu.  Hmmmm so that is where the title Third Wheel comes into play.  But which is the third wheel?  The all crawl into Jake’s car and head out to the movie.  Mike wants to listen to music and much to Bella’s surprise Jake says nope, because she doesn’t like music.    Bella has to purchase Jake’s ticket because he’s not old enough.   The movie is all war and mayhem, but Jacob finds humor in it.  Both Mike and Jake are vying for her attention.   Then all of the sudden Mike gets sick.  Jacob goes to check on him. 

While waiting for Mike to come out of the restroom Jacob puts his arm around Bella.  Bella let’s him know she’s uncomfortable.  But this is when Jacob makes his intentions known.  He asks if she likes him and he settles for a “you like me best and think I’m good looking – sort of”  and I can be annoyingly persisting.  Jacob makes reference to Edward and Bella still being in love with him.  They have a long discussion about boundaries.  Then Mike comes out very sick.  Jacob hands Mike a bucket when they get to the car.  The windows are rolled down and Bella is cold.  This is when she realizes how hot Jacob is….  She thinks he’s getting sick too! 

Bella realizes she is in a sick way.  Using Jacob and loving him at the same time.  But not prepared to go any further because she was broken.  Then she get’s the flu too!  She tries to call Jake and Billy says he’s too sick, then she talks to Jacob and he tells her not to come over.  She can’t stand it and keeps trying to call.  At first Billy says he’s too sick.  Then she drives over to check and no one is home.  Bella has Charlie call his friend Harry about it.  Harry says that phone lines are messed up, and that Jacob has mono and Billy said “No visitors for at least a month”.    Bella just couldn’t believe this story. 

Bella decided to wait a week, she even cheated during this time by trying to call.  The nightmares are back and when she awakens on Saturday she rushes to call Jacob.  Jacob isn’t in though and Billy tells her he is out with friends.  This really hurts Bella because he didn’t even bother calling her.  She tells Charlie, who is going fishing.  She tells him she is going to stay home and study.  She really didn’t want to do that, she thought of the bike, but then decided to go look for the Meadow. 

As she trudged on she realized that the walking was making her feel better, then all of the sudden she walked intot he meadow.  “It was the same place . . . but it didn’t hole what I had been searching for.”  She was instantly disappointed.  She was grateful she was alone, if Jake was there he’d know why she had searched for this place and what it meant to her.    Then she saw him and she instantly recognized him “Laurent!”.   Laurent wasn’t there for pleasure though, on a reconnaissance trip to check on Bella because Victoria wanted her revenge.  In the middle of this Bella hears Edward again.  Laurent is telling her that he will kill her quickly, then all the sudden she sees the fear in his eyes.  A large wolf comes through the trees.  At first it doesn’t register in her mind that it’s wolves.   Then there are 5 of them. She thinks for sure that she is done for.  Then Laurent runs off and they chase after him.  Shocked and confused and the hole in her chest ripped wide open from talking with Laurent about the Cullens and Edward she  tries to find her way out. 

When she finally arrives home Charlie is already there.  She explains to him she was hiking and that she saw the wolves (not bears).  Charlie tells her he saw Jake in La Push.  Bella is so shocked about Laurent, Victoria wanting revenge, and the wolves that it just doesn’t register. 

So seeing the wolves was cool!  She was so lucky.  I would have peed my pants.  In the Meadow chapter so much more is revealed about where this story is going.  Did you enjoy it?

New Moon Chapter 8

Hi and Welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack

I hope you are enjoying the chapter recap.  I am!  I love re-reading this.  Only 14 days left! This chapter picks up right where chapter 7 ended.  Starting Monday I will have to do two at a time to catch up.  That ought to be interesting.

Chapter 8:  Adrenaline

Jacob is in the process of giving Bella the rundown on “how to ride a bike”.  Bella is both scared and excited.  They get the bike started and then she hears him again.  She stalls the bike out and it topples over, almost on top of her but Jacob catches it. 

Bella finally has it figured out.  And by this I mean, how to trigger the  her delusions.  Do something reckless.  She is happy with this and wants to try again.  The bike roars to life again and there he is.  Edward is telling her to stop and go home, she lets go and in Bella’s own words “I was flying.”  She is hearing him the entire time and isn’t really paying attention to where she’s going.  Bella notices that the tract she is on veers off to the left and she doesn’t know how to turn.  Bella mashes down on the pedal brake (the one Jacob told her not to push).   Bella wrecks, but she is too excited by hearing Edward again to really register what just happened. 

Jacob gets to her fast on the other bike and pulls her bike off of her.  Bella is so happy, and he is worried.  He tells her he should take her to the hospital and she shakes him off.  Then Jake points out the fact that she is bleeding from a gash on her head.  He takes off his shirt and applies it to her head.  They agree to go to the hospital but not until Bella goes home and changes first (Charlie will not be home).  Jacob rides off again to get the truck, when he gets back he puts the other bike in the truck.  This is when Bella tells him he’s sort of beautiful.  What an awkward statement.

Bella had to have 7 stitches.  Bella told Charlie she fell in the garage and he didn’t question her on it.  Bella is in pain at home again.  It seems whenever she is away from Jacob she is opened up again, but when she is with him she is better.  They have a few more bike rides in which Bella hurts herself again, and Charlie questioned her on it.  So being the teenager she is, she lied and said they were hiking. 

Bella tells Jacob about Charlie’s scrutiny and he decides they need to quit riding for awhile.   Jacob asks her what she wants to do, and she says go hiking.  She is so masochistic.  She wants to find Edwards meadow.  Without telling Jacob this she concocts some story about finding a cool place in the forest.  Jacob is all for it.  So they set off, with a map grid and a compass.  As they are hiking Bella brings up Embry and Jacob gets upset.  Because his friend is still hanging out with Sam.  They hike a good 6 miles then head back in and make plans to do it again.

I sure love the banter between Bella and Jacob.  I also wonder though why she was so sick.  Why would she want to do things with Jacob that bring on her delusions of Edward?  And why would she talk him into helping find the Meadow?  She didn’t want to say Edwards name, but she didn’t want to let go either.  It’s really sad when your reading this to know she is using Jacob so much at first. What is your take?

New Moon Chapter 7

Hi and welcome to Mac’s Twi-Attack.  Not much longer.  The suspense is a killer. 

Today’s recap is Chapter 7.  Bella is back, well a little bit.  But it’s nice to know she is trying.  After the desolation she experienced, it’s great to know she can heal.  The fact of the matter is, we can heal too!

Chapter 7:  Repetition

This chapter’s name would more appropriately be “Crazy”.  Bella has avoided all things Edward and in the beginning of this chapter she is driving strait out to his house.  In her dream/nightmareshe is searching for something unattainable and she had to make sure he did exist.

It was her 1 year anniversary since moving to Forks, and starting school.  She had to do something.  She knew he was out there somewhere.  Truth of it is, she wanted and needed to hear his voice in her mind again.  Driving up the endless lane she notices how overgrown it is and starts to panic.  The wham, it’s there, the house looming over her and the yard taken back by nature; full of ferns.  She was hoping to hear his voice, but nothing happened.  In her disappointment she decides to not peak in the windows.  She doesn’t know which would be worse, an empty house or a house the same as she last seen it, but empty still.  This was tearing the hole open again. What was she thinking to go out there?

She rushes to La Push to Jacob.  Bella feels better the instant she sees him.  Jacob has the red bike put back together, but is worried that Bella won’t come around once her bike is done.  Bella reassures him that he’d have to get rid of her (he doesn’t understand that he is all that is keeping her together).  The are really building a relationship.

Of all her school mates only Angela and Mike welcome her back unconditionally.  Mike even works up to asking Bella out.  She point blank tells him “I don’t date”.  Bella doesn’t see all the time she is spending with Jacob as a dating or anything like that.  She needs him and he doesn’t seem to mind that she keeps coming around.  Jake calls and says he has a surprise, “the bikes are ready!”.  Bella rushes out and they load them up into her truck (always out of site of Billy).  They head out for their first ride. 

This is when she sees the La Push pack cliff jumping.  At first she is stunned, then frantic, worrying that someone would be hurt.  Jacob is only perturbed by them.  Jacob explains that most of the kids from the tribe jump there, only a little lower down.  Bella makes him promise to take her.  They talk some of Sam Uley and his friends.  Jacob doesn’t like them, and mentions that Embry is avoiding him and Quil and hanging out with Sam’s Gang.  Finally they get to the place Jacob has in mind for their first ride.

Yikes!  Bella is really getting into a relationship fast.  The one thing that bothers me most is that she could tell right off how Jacob was feeling but never really  stopped him.  Why would she doe this?  She was in pain and he was helping her heal.  The least she owed him was the truth and that she couldn’t be in a relationship with him.  I feel sorry for Jacob a lot in this series.  How about you?  What are you doing to prepare for New Moon?
