Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart tweet ‘thanks’

Calling all Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson fans! The New Moon stars tweeted on Monday, giving their thanks to their fans on Twilight’s official Twitter page.
Pattinson, 23, who plays the mysterious Edward Cullen, tweeted, “Thank you for making NEW MOON #1,” It’s very exciting to be a part of something embraced by so many people.”
Pattinson also continued his tweet by saying, “I hope you are looking forward to ECLIPSE as much as I am.”
Hours later, Stewart, 19, who plays Bella Swan, decided to tweet too and tell her fans, “You all have proven you’re the most amazing fans in the world once again. I feel so lucky to be a part of The Twilight Saga and thank you for making us #1!
The Twiitter newbie also said, “Yes, I twittered,” Kristen followed up with. “Or twitted..tweeted? I dunno, but thank you sooo much anyway..!”
Pattinson and Stewart along with other co-stars made New Moon break records for opening weekend.
The next installment of Twilight: Eclipse, has already been announced to hit theaters on June 10, 2010!
